Fledgling jazz outfit The Swing Merchants have announced their first tour for 2015.

Having performed with the likes of James Morrison, Emma Pask and Jeff Clayton – and with an album on the way – the fresh-faced ensemble of like-minded jazz musicians are building a name for themselves among some of the best. The Swing Merchants’ vocals, reeds, guitar, double bass and drums combo will showcase their lively and exciting jazz vibes with two dates in Sydney before moving to Newport and beyond.

Aiming to swing, and swing hard, the group are proving to be one to watch. In the words of James Morrison: “The future of jazz is in good hands.”

The Swing Merchants are playing Foundry616 in Ultimo on Thursday June 24, tickets are $15 or $10 for concessions. More info through Facebook.
