Sydney Film Festival will present Gourmet Cinema, three flavoursome nights of culinary culture, as part of its 2017 program.

This year, the film Barbecue will be screened in three locations across Sydney in an experience that celebrates both food and film.

Within their film Barbecue, two Adelaide filmmakers travel the globe to discover the different ways that communities and cultures barbecue. Over three nights, the film will be screened in separate cinemas across Sydney, each offering a different food experience to accompany the screening.

For a fine dining experience that includes dessert and matched wines, catch the film at Dendy Opera Quays on Wednesday June 14. For a more casual evening, head down to Casula Powerhouse in Sydney’s South West to watch the film and have a BBQ on Saturday June 17. For those who are more keen on the ‘show’ element of ‘dinner and a show’, get along to Dendy Newtown on Sunday June 18 for the screening only.

The 2017 Sydney Film Festival will take place between August 7 and 18. The full 2017 film guide can be found on the SFF website.
