Some of Sydney’s finest hip-hop, soul, and R&B acts are joining forces next week to raise money for Women’s Community Shelters NSW.

The ‘Sleigh Queen’ festive fundraiser gig will be taking place next Friday, on December 22nd – just in time to get you into the Christmas spirit. Featuring the likes of Joyride, Mirrah, Amali Golden, and Milan Ring, The Botany View Hotel in Newtown will play host to one of the most worthwhile fundraisers going around.

Organisers of the event have pointed out that New South Wales usually sees one in every three women turned away from shelters due to a severe lack of bedding. ‘Sleigh Queen’ aims to put a stop to this horrible fact, and have teamed up with some of the best acts in NSW to help raise awareness and much needed funds for these organisations..

Alongside a number of live performances taking place downstairs at the Botany View Hotel, there will be a number of DJ performances upstairs from acts such as Nes, Yemisul, FlexMiami, and ADIT from Horrorshow. There’s also going to be a limited edition set of T-shirts printed up for the gig too, which you’ll be able to wear with pride while you remember an awesome concert you attended that managed to help those in need.

It all kicks off next Friday, December 22nd at Newtown’s Botany View Hotel. Be sure to scope the Facebook event page for more info, and make sure you’re there early so you don’t miss out on the awesome array of Aussie talent that will be in full swing on the night.
