If there was ever going to come a time when the art world would get close to having a heart attack, it would be now. Come April 11 and the seven days afterwards, Ta-ku and a slew of creatives and collaborators will be packed close together in Surry Hills. There be something in the water and we’d better all have a drink.

Ta-ku, the self-taught muso coming out the far-flung outpost that is Perth, blitzed the music scene with his debut EP,Songs To Break Up To.Never one to toe the orthodox line of learning, creating or succeeding, the Perthian is set to facilitate a week physical incarnations of his artistic process, and we’re invited along for the ride.

Partnering with creatives from across the world, Ta-ku will be hosting nightly talks on all the topics of goodness;food, photography and music being but a few. True to style, Ta-ku has made getting these tickets possible through a creative competition, so get those juices flowing.

We all know creating a musical album is not enough, thus a public gallery exhibition will be running every day of hisSongs To Make Up To photo series alongside photography walks with the Create + Explore Crew.

Ta-ku‘s residency at the Golden Age Cinema commences Monday April 11 and runs for a week. To score tickets to the night talks, get on creating here.
