Tori Amos has claimed she was unaware of the decades of sexual assault allegations made against notorious-in-a-bad-way photographer Terry Richardson when she partook in a recent photo shoot with him.

The forthcoming issue of V Magazine will feature a ‘Cult Icons’ spread featuring a number of artists, including Amos. The magazine commissioned Richardson to take these shots, a decision they are no doubt regretting as the latest rush of allegations against Richardson continues to be plastered across the media.

“At the time, I was not aware of the various accusations made against Richardson, had I been I would never have taken part”, Amos wrote on her Facebook page.

“I am disgusted by the nature of the allegations and can only stand strong with the women who were subjected to this abuse over the years.”
