Melbourne’s triple j Unearthed-crowned emcee Remi is rapping up his Christmas presents – a string of headline shows across Australia in February next year, with a cracking new single ‘Livin’ to celebrate.

Following the release of the Childish and Five Beats I Love EPs in 2011, and his debut album Regular People Shit in 2012, it was Remi’s F.Y.G: Act 1 mixtape that made waves globally. The tape, which was nominated on New York’s NPR’s 2013 Best Albums of 2013 list, comprises 22 infectious original cuts, including chart-crusher ‘Sangria’, ‘Saggin’ and the highly lauded ‘Ape’, all produced by beatmasters Sensible J & Dutch.

Having previously secured support slots with Danny Brown, De La Soul, Med, The Pharcyde, Mono/Poly, Jonwayne, Jesse Boykins and Peace, Remi will bookend his headline shows by heating the stage for fellow Melbournian rapper Illy on his national tour in March.

Don’t think Remi will be resting on his laurels til then, though – he’s set to tear up stages at Falls, NYE on the Hill Perth Festival and Push Over.

Snatch up tickets for his Friday February 14 show at Goodgod Small Club from Moshtix.
