Back in 1886, the Emu Inn was condemned by the Police, and as a consequence a new look Orient Hotel opened. In 1937, the Orient became the Nepean, but to locals the hotel was always “The Emu”. 1998 witnessed the transformation of this grand old hotel into a true Irish Pub, boasting all the traditions and authenticity of Ireland herself; the unmistakable personality of the original bars, the pub doors and windows, and memorabilia.
