Celebrate all things poetic and creative next weekend at the 2016 Wollongong Writers Festival.

The four-day festival will feature an eclectic mix of readings, classes, panels and performances for word-lovers of all ages and walks of life.

Events include everything from readings for children (with former red Wiggle Murray Cook, no less), discussions on romance writing and writing as therapy after illness, a feminist book club and slam poetry nights.

There’ll also be a meditation class and live theatre for anyone that way inclined. You’ll laugh, cry, learn, look at things in entirely new ways and most of all be immersed in the world of words.

Wollongong Writers Festival is on from Wednesday November 23 to Sunday November 27.
