Calling all young artists – the Young Archie competition will return this year to run alongside the Archibald Prize at the Art Gallery of NSW.

Children between five and 18 can submit a portrait of “a person who is special to you – someone who is known to you and plays a significant role in your life”. The competition is split into four age categories, and five finalists in each category will see their work hung at the AGNSW. The Young Archie will be judged by 2011 Archibald Prize winner and Gallery trustee Ben Quilty.
