Two of Australia’s longest standing musical entities are bringing their collaborative work to Sydney in April.

The concert, entitled, Cinemusica, will be the first time the two musical ensemble giants have performed together in 30 years.

Bringing some of the 20th and 21st century’s most iconic film scores to the stage, it will feature the compositions of Bernard Herrmann (Alfred Hitchcock’s Psycho), Thomas Newman (American Beauty)and Bartóks epic Music for Strings, Percussion and Celestaas as made famous inThe Shining.

Cinemusica will play at the City Recital Hall, over three shows on April 2, 5 and 6.
