Keen to trade your summer for a good hunk of cash, Perthians? The CBH Group has the job for you helping with the massive grain crop about to be harvested in regional Western Australia

Let’s face it, with the way the world has been going we’re absolutely starved for something outside the mundane, and we’re bit strapped for cash – especially with our state border closures. So, how about spending your time in some of the busiest and beautiful places our own state has to offer? That’s right, I’m talking about the regional areas of Western Australia that will be processing this year’s massive grain harvest.

Co-operative Bulk Handling, better known as CBH Group, is offering an exciting opportunity for those keen for a getaway to the country. They’re hunting for those enthusiastic about getting busy, and getting their hands a little dirty with Western Australia’s grain harvesting period through this summer.

With all the rain this year, the crop has grown like crazy, and the supply chain is in need of some help to keep the harvest running smoothly.

Beginning in October, and lasting around six weeks, those chosen will have the opportunity to work at a number of sites across the great state’s wheatbelt. Several different roles are on offer, working in places like Geraldton, Albany, Esperance, and more.

As you and your mates are probably keen on staying together for the summer, CBH also offers a place on the applications for you to note your companions, so that you can be nominated for the same zone. Meaning that you could be working alongside your bestie by day, and raking in the cash for spending after harvest is over.

All in all, the opportunities through CBH can’t be understated – with work as a Receival Point Operator, you’ll sample grain from delivered loads, ensure quality, and weigh in trucks. The other position offered includes container packing, grain quality, and data analysis as a Grain Technician.

CBH’s positions are open for application now. All you have to do is be above the age of 17 as of October 1st, enjoy a bit of physical labour and learning, and be keen for a little relocation to regional Western Australia. With wages starting around $29 per hour depending on your experience and sites offering accommodation. Wages are ready to be earned, and Western Australia’s farmers are waiting.
