A rare opportunity has become available for a Paralegal to join our team! We’re looking for a highly skilled law student to join our group of companies as a paralegal, working across some of Australia’s most cutting-edge artists, events and labels.

CANDIDATE SPECIFICATIONS

Qualifications

You will be in your penultimate or final year of either your Bachelor of Laws or JD.

Experience

Prior experience either as a Paralegal or other role within the music industry will be highly regarded

You will stand out from the pack if you hold the following qualities:

• Knowledge of or previous experience with IP, commercial aw and contracts, disputes, corporate law in the music, entertainment, events or related industries;
• A passion for music, entertainment and culture;
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal;
• A desire to build a career in music, media and entertainment law;
• Solid credentials and references;
• Well organised and have strong attention to detail; and
• The ability to work fast and at times under pressure.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

You will be working closely with our Lawyer, CEO, COO and executive management, collaborating closely with the Artist & Repertoire (A&R), Touring & Events, Marketing, and Publishing departments and be their primary legal support.

You will work to support the team on strategic projects, assist in providing day-to-day advice to the business in a wide range of legal areas, new legal and regulatory matters affecting the company, and new business initiatives.
