Label Coordinator (Melbourne office)

The newly minted Virgin Music Australia (formerly Caroline) is the Label Services Arm of Universal Music. We partner with the best independent labels and artists in Australia. International artists we are lucky enough to partner with include Dave, Trippie Redd, Mac DeMarco, Warpaint, Aitch, Denzel Curry, Catfish and The Bottlemen, Kurt Vile, St Vincent,  Internet Money, Soccer Mommy, Christine and The Queens and more. Local artists include Parcels, Amyl and The Sniffers, Chillinit, Youngn Lipz, Skegss, MO’JU,  King Gizzard and The Lizard Wizard, Marlon Williams and more.


Virgin Music Australia is looking to appoint a Label Coordinator (Melbourne office) to support our Virgin Music artist projects and releases.


Key Responsibilities


  • Manage release schedule – work with label partners to set up digital and physical releases via the supply chain, schedule new releases, clear pre-release content for socials, ensure correct delivery of products to DSPs 
  • Physical manufacturing – Inventory – manage imports of all new releases and catalogue products
  • Sales/Commercial –setup pre-orders and new physical releases for retail
  • Finance – review and process invoices, raise purchase orders
  • Administrative – Weekly ARIA surveying and chart reporting, radio airplay and sales both internally and to label partners.
  • Represent Virgin Australia at various live gigs for the regular touring artists.
  • Assisting Label and Marketing Managers in the execution of marketing plans


About You

  • 12+ months of work experience and/or an Internship completed in a related field.
  • Advanced administrative and organisational skills with great attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight and variable deadlines.
  • Strong computer skills and knowledge in social media / digital.
  • General DSP and streaming knowledge
