Business Affairs Team:

Join our Business Affairs team to navigate the legal and business complexities of the music world. Offer strategic advice, negotiate deals, and manage intellectual property to support our artists and label partners.

Here you’ll get to:

·         Draft, negotiate, and finalize contracts, focusing on recorded music agreements for Australia and New Zealand.

·         Manage contract administration and ensure accurate entry into our Rights Administration Database (RAD).

·         Conduct legal research and provide strategic advice to various business units.

·         Supervise and mentor a dedicated team, including paralegals.

·         Maintain file management through NetDocuments, ensuring organization and accessibility of critical documents.

·         Assist with corporate legal matters and contribute to privacy and data policy compliance.

·         Represent Warner Music Australia at meetings, locally and internationally, as required.

 

About you:

·         You have a law degree and at least 4 years of post-admission experience.

·         You have a full practicing certificate, demonstrating your legal proficiency.

·         You have advanced skills in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

·         You have exceptional written and oral communication skills.

·         You have a proactive approach, demonstrating strong self-management and multitasking abilities. 

 

It would be music to our ears if you also had:

·         Experience in drafting complex legal documents.

·         Knowledge of copyright law and commercial law principles.

·         Familiarity with the music or entertainment industry.
