Golden Age Cinema in Surry Hills is celebrating the announcement of the retirement of veterans Hayao Miyazaki and Isao Takahata by screening all of the classics from everyone’s favourite animation studio, Studio Ghibli.

The latest from the studio, Hiromasa Yonebayashi’s (Arrietty) sophomore When Marnie Was There, will be screened at Golden Age followed by the renowned titles, My Neighbour Totoro and Spirited Away.The announcement of co-founders, Miyazaki and Takahata’s retirement has sparked talks of a long hiatus from the studio with Yonebayashi’s fresh release potentially being the last from the renowned studio.
