Concord Label Group Australia are responsible for building the brands of Concord’s labels and roster within the Australian market. Alongside our label and distribution partners, maximising sales potential and career development within Australia for Concord Artists.

Position Purpose: 

Responsible for assisting Label Director in developing and executing Australian marketing and promotional plans for Concord’s recording artists; initiating owned marketing plans; building, analysing and executing campaign strategy. Works under general supervision with regard to the practices and processes developed by the Label Director.

 

What you’ll do:

  • Assist the Label Director to conceive, strategise and implement successful and creative release campaigns for Concord artists.
  • Communicate and synchronise campaigns with international and US Label marketing teams.
  • Liaise closely with our label partners and distributor to deliver the highest possible levels of service, strategy, and market insight.
  • Assist the Label Director with analysis of release campaigns, and preparation of internal performance reports.
  • Assist Label Director with tracking marketing campaign budgets.
  • Assist Label Director to set campaign sales targets in collaboration with Concord commercial teams.
  • Assist with managing external promo teams.
  • Prepare weekly DSP new release notes and service new music to radio.
  • Collaborate closely & communicate effectively with internal teams, Digital Marketing, Sync, International, as well as external partners.
  • Assist the Label Director to build audience growth and social media strategies to grow fanbases and maximise engagement.
  • Oversee setup of physical releases, plan with commercial and sales team for strategic retail offerings.  
  • Assist the Label Director to implement advertising and partnership opportunities for campaigns. 
  • Attend gigs & events frequently fostering relationships with managers, artist and campaign teams.
  • Prioritise workload effectively to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Preparation of industry newsletters and music servicing via Mailchimp
  • Update internal campaign documents.
  • Complete weekly activity reports.
  • Contribute to general office administration duties in conjunction with other Melbourne office staff.

 

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • Minimum of 1+ years’ experience in label roles or comparable Australian music industry roles.
  • Ability to operate in a highly collaborative manner and work well under pressure. 
  • A working knowledge of all facets of the music industry.
  • A creative and innovative approach to problem solving.
  • Ability to work across multiple projects of different sizes and development.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills.
  • Proficient working with Mailchimp and the Microsoft office suite including Word, Excel, Powerpoint & Outlook.
