[PIAS] Australia and Inertia Music make up one of the largest independent music companies in Australia. As a member of the [PIAS] group of companies, the Australian office comprises [PIAS] Australia (the Label Group division) and Inertia Music (the distribution and services division).

[PIAS] Australia, our Label Group division, looks after artists such as HighSchool, Mildlife and Taylah Carroll, as well as our suite of labels including Play It Again Sam (total tommy, Lykke Li), Astral People Recordings (Milan Ring, Skeleten), Transgressive (Arlo Parks, Mykki Blanco), Lower Third (Two Door Cinema Club, Circa Waves), Mute (HAAi, Liars) and much more.

Operating on a global basis with offices and teams around the world, [PIAS] champions and supports the best independent music in the world across our unrivalled international network. Established in 1982, we operate 16 global offices – all leveraging local relationships to influence local gatekeepers.

What you’ll be doing

[PIAS] Australia is seeking a creative and ambitious Label Group Coordinator to join their team. This exciting entry level position works across all aspects of marketing, promotions and product management within the [PIAS] Australia Label Group. Reporting to the Label Group Director and working within the Label Group’s Promotions and Marketing team, the role will assist in the delivery and amplification of all [PIAS] Australia’s repertoire. Above all, we are looking for a lover of independent music with an ambition to excel in the music industry.

Key Responsibilities & Relationships

  • Coordinate [PIAS] Australia’s external communications including social media, website and weekly newsletter
  • Coordinate and deliver releases via PromoJukebox on timely schedule to relevant media and tastemakers
  • Assist Marketing Managers with product setup, sales sheets, reporting, booking in radio and print ads, coordinating assets and various tasks as required
  • Assist Promotions Managers with drafting press releases, weekly servicing emails and various tasks as required
  • Coordinate artist award nominations and weekly ARIA surveying for releases
  • Exercise discretion when dealing with confidential information
  • Attend live shows and music industry events regularly outside of normal work hours
