First things first, if you don’t follow the antics of Sydney musician Alex Cameron and his sidekick, saxophonist and philosopher Roy Molloy, on Facebook, that’s a lot of comedy gold you’re missing out on, so get onto that.

Now that’s sorted, watch the amazing video for his new single ‘Stranger’s Kiss’. The song itself is a duet with Angel Olsen, and has a Springsteen meets Nancy and Lee vibe about it, but it’s the combination of it and the brilliant video, written and directed by Jemima Kirke of Girls fame, that should help push this to classic status. I won’t tell you anything about it, because there is a lot of joy in watching it unfold. It’s weird and sweet and sad and great.

I’m predicting one million YouTube views by mid-August, especially ‘cos you just know Lena Dunham is going to push it out in her Lenny newsletter if she hasn’t already done so.

Good. Alex Cameron deserves a big international hit.
