It’s the name of a mining town on County Kilkenny, Ireland, and also one of the hardest working local bands in Sydney (who sound like they could be from a rain sodden part of the UK, with their five-part harmonies and Frightened Rabbit/My Latest Novel-ish indie-folk tendencies).

Castlecomer have just finished work on their second EP Lone Survivor, which will be out on July 12 through Green Distribution, and you can catch them live shortly after, on Thursday August 1 at Oxford Art Factory (tickets on sale now).
