Australian-born, New York-based photojournalist Angus Mordant will present his first photo exhibit at Dominik Mersch Gallery, centered around the Standing Rock protests.
Angus’ exhibition of 15 photos covering the controversial protests last year showcases the protesters’ unity and their conflict with law enforcement.
The Standing Rock protests have taken place over the construction of a pipeline in Standing Rock Reserve in North and South Dakota. Protesters oppose construction of the pipline due to contamination of local drinking water and damage to Native American scared burial grounds.
The exhibit runs from Thursday March 30 until Saturday April 22 at Dominik Mersch Gallery, Rushcutters Bay.
