Daniel O’Toole’s latest art exhibition explores photography and painting in a way not yet imagined.

O’Toole’s latest work draws heavily from a series of experiments he undertook during his artist residency in Berlin last year. Titled ‘Polaroid Painting’ the artworks are viewed through a transparent layer that are altered with paint, wax and other textural distorions. What’s seen is a warped combination of distortions that blurs the crossover between painting and analogue photography.

Daniel O’Toole exhibitionPolaroid Paintingopens on from 6pm on Friday April 11 at the China Heights Gallery in Surry Hills. The special preview is happening on Wednesday April 9, from 6pm.
