These days, the Star Wars story seems to be added to every few months, what with all the sequels, and video games, and interactive, immersive experiences that can make traditional fans yearn for the days of a movie every few years, the odd ill-advised holiday special, and a few kinda-canon novelisations every now and then that do silly things like kill Chewbacca off and introduce rubbish Skywalker nephews.

Still, it was nothing like now, with the recent rush of sequels, games, and now a short story collection From A Certain Point Of View, which aims to flesh out the back stories of popular classic side characters (although still no Rancor origin tale). There is now an audiobook version of this collection, which will find Jon Hamm voicing Boba Fett, and Neil Patrick Harris playing an unnamed Imperial Officer working on the Death Star.

At least they are tapping some of the finest thespians in Hollywood to play these parts. Still, it does feel like overkill at this point.

From A Certain Point Of View will be available on October 3.
