Following the news that California’s Knapsack are headed to Australia for the first time to headline Melbourne’s Poison City’s Weekender Fest, the band have now announced three additional dates while in the country.

Knapsack features members of Samiam and The Jealous Sound. After forming in 1993, they released their debutSilver Sweepstakesin 1995, followed by tours with the likes ofPavement, Jawbox and Rocket From The Crypt. Before calling it quits in 2000, the band releasedDay Three Of My New Life(1997)andThis Conversation Is Ending Starting Right Now(1998). They recently reuinted in 2013.

Knapsack will be hitting Newtown Social Club on Thursday August 21. Tickets are available through the venue.
