Midnight Oil were forced to cut their Melbourne set short on Wednesday night after genius guitarist/keyboardist Jim Moginie took a tumble towards the end of the gig, resulting in an unplanned acoustic finale, and an even more unplanned hospital trip.

Luckily, the tour will continue as planned, except Moginie will play the remaining dates seated – which is fair enough with us. He has a hamstring injury which sounds painful, with phrases like “completely detached from the bone” not helping things.
