La Rondewill feature ten couples performing a round dance of love, sex and infidelity in ten scenes, performed by Sydney Inner West theatre company Enigma.

Written in 1897, Arthur Schnitzler’s psychological exploration of sex was met with uproar as copies were confiscated and performances banned. Until his death in 1931 he refused productions of the show following the public’s firey reaction. From the 1950s onwards there have been numerous adaptations, and now Enigma will be bringing their own unique performance of the stunning original text to the fold.

La Ronde will play at the Coronation Hall (formerly known as The Australian Theatre) from Wednesday July 2 to Saturday July 12.
