Surry Hills Festival is one of the highlights of the spring calendar, with the entire suburb turning into a carnival of live music, art tours, pop up shops, street performers, food options galore, and basically all you need for a great, family-friendly day out.

It happens this Saturday, September 23, from 10am to 10pm and possibly a little longer than that if you get into a bar or something.

This year also sees the launch of the inaugural three-week Double Take arts program, which runs for three weeks until Sunday 15 October, also from 10am to 10pm daily.

Entry is by donation, with all funds raised on the day to go to community programs presented by Surry Hills Neighbourhood Centre.
