Hit up your MySpace top eight, and dig out the Chromeo CD because the Hudson Ballroom (on Liverpool St.) are holding a party in celebration of all things 2007.

Nic Kelly and The Interns DJs will be spinning tunes from that banner year: glitter-infused hits from the likes of Crystal Castles, Cut Copy, Muscles, Panda Bear, PNAU, Daft Punk, M.I.A, MGMT, Sneaky Sound System, Switch, The Chemical Brothers, Uffie, Van She Tech – you know the stuff.

As the organisers explain: “2007 was a huge year for music. Justice’s ‘†’ has just come out on Ed Banger Records and Daft Punk’s ‘Alive’ tour was coming to an end. Calvin Harris was singing ‘Acceptable in the 80’s’ live on tour and Boys Noize released ‘Oi Oi Oi’. Sneaky Sound System was in the 25 Most Played playlist on your brightly coloured iPod Nano and you know all the words to ‘The Salmon Dance’. The music videos for ‘Destination Calabria’ and ‘My People’ are on high rotation on Channel [V].”

There’s also be a So Fresh 2007 tribute in the front room, because of course there will be!

Here’s the Facebook event for more details – it kicks off at 9pm this Saturday, September 23.
