Over the past few days, the internet has been inundated with the #TenYearChallenge. If by some unearthly measure you’ve managed to miss this, let me break it down for you real quick. People are posting pictures of themselves in 2009 against a photo of themselves now. It’s an opportunity for people to flex their glow up and we’re here for it. After all, this is the decade where we’ve experimented with, refined and mastered the art of filling in brows and contouring. We should all be proud of our growth.

To celebrate the existence of this glorious challenge, we’re taking a look at our favourite offerings.

Mariah Carey

Mariah Carey proves that her existence not only defies the properties of matter, but ignores the concept of time itself. How did we allow one woman to accumulate so much power? At what point does the omnipresent Mariah and her otherworldly whistle tone become too much for this mortal dome to handle.

Caitlyn Jenner

Caitlyn Jenner, alongside the rest of the trans community, win the #10YearChallenge. Here are just a few of the heartwarming posts we’ve seen on the internet thus far.

Schapelle Corby

It has absolutely been a rough trot for you Schapelle, but you’ve come out of it with such glamour. Let’s hope that 2019 is your special year darl x

Jessica Simpson

Quite frankly, I find the 2019 Jessica Simpson who uses frozen chicken to ice her swollen trotters far more relatable than toned, tanned, Dukes of Hazzard Jessica. Heroes get remembered, legends never die.

Earth

Sorry to end a silly listicle on a solemn note but our planet is in crisis. We are literally killing the world. Maybe our 2019 glow up can be radically changing our habits so that we stop causing catastrophic and irreversible damage to our home. It’s not all doom and gloom, there are things that we, as individuals can do to minimise our impact. We need to change our eating habits in order to save our planet.
