We’ve done the hard task of naming the six best standup comedy night hotspots in Sydney that you need to visit immediately. With nights full of laughs ahead of you, these hotspots of comedy are bound to please everyone.

1. Potts Point Hotel – ‘Magic Mic Comedy’

This comedy night started off as open mic but has since moved to the 60-seat first-floor space in Potts Point Hotel and has officially switched over to professional line-ups, hosting a litany of iconic comedians ever since. Tickets sell out fast for this hilarious Wednesday night affair so its best to grab them ahead of time. Also be sure to take advantage of the pre-show happy hour $6 special, running from 7pm to 8pm!

2. The Forresters – ‘Stand OUT Comedy Club’

Stand OUT Comedy is one of Sydney’s most outrageous and fun weekly shows. It’s a hilarious combination of established Stand up and Improv comedy, and quite frankly, it is an unmissable affair and free entry on Tuesdays.

3. Staves Brewery – ‘Powerbomb Comedy’

This weekly Friday-night stand-up smackdown features a headliner and emcee with six shorter support slots from local talent. Even better: Staves brews its own ales, and there’s plenty of choice on tap. A mighty fine choice for a night out in Sydney.
