A spectacular live music show is heading to Brisbane this December to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Moulin Rouge!.

The Fortitude Music Hall will be utterly transported on December 10th, transformed into a Parisian club for the one-off gig.

Titled Spectacular Spectacular, a massive lineup of some of Brisbane’s finest musicians will be working their way through Moulin Rouge!‘s wonderful soundtrack, all backed by a 15-piece band and costumed dancers.

Members of Powderfinger, The Superjesus, Sahara Beck, and many others will take part in the show. Sarah McLeod from The Superjesus shared her delight at the show, posting a picture alongside Powderfinger’s Darren Middleton on her Instagram.

“This going to be amazing!!” she wrote. “How bout this for something different? This December I’m excited to announce I’m going to be part of a show performing the songs from Moulin Rouge. It’s a one off and it’s in Brisbane and there’s some great artists involved. I’m going to dress up to the 9’s and transport myself back to Paris in the 1920’s, what a trip.”
