Reality TV star and radio host Abbie Chatfield has revealed that she will make her boyfriend Konrad Bien sign a pre-defacto contract that will keep their finances separate.

During her radio segment, the 26-year-old told listeners that she is in the process of organising paperwork for her 31-year-partner to sign.

“I don’t give anyone money. Like, when I move in with Konrad, he’s signing something to say that he doesn’t have any of my money… I’m, like, getting lawyers this week,” she explained.

Chatfield clarified that she wanted to keep their finances separate because after a couple have lived together for two years, they’re considered to legally be in a defacto relationship.

“If you’re de facto, right, someone can take half your property or whatever or your net worth,” she said.

The ex-Bachelor contestant said that she didn’t think Bien would actually take her money but, “it’s better to be safe than sorry”.

“I said it on the first day I met him. First day, I was like, ‘Um, by the way, if you ever move in here, I’m making you sign something,”‘ she added.

“We were talking about general relationship stuff, and I was like, “Yeah, you’d have to sign something, and also, if you live with me, you’re going to have to sign a lease agreement, because you’re my tenant.

Chatfield’s Instagram followers have steadily grown since she appeared on The Bachelor in 2019, and she has been penning lucrative brand deals. She also has her own podcast, It’s a Lot, and recently signed on to Hit FM as the host of Hot Nights with Abbie Chatfield.

“I don’t trust anyone with money. No one gets any money from the Chatfield… Mum taught me, never have a joint bank account, ever,” she said while talking about the pre-defacto contract.

Bien and Chatfield confirmed their relationship in November of last year. She has an estimated worth of between $1million and $2million.
