The Challenge star Konrad Bien-Stephen – Abbie Chatfield’s ex – seems to have sided with Brittany Hockley amidst the slut-shaming debacle.

As the feud between Abbie Chatfield and Brittany Hockley heats up over the latter’s slut shaming comments on air, it seems their fellow celebrities have already picked sides – including Chatfield’s ex and The Challenge Australia star Konrad Bien-Stephen. Newsflash, it seems he’s not supporting his former partner.

As of the moment, Bien-Stephen seems to no longer be following Chatfield on Instagram, although it’s unclear whether he did so before Hockley’s comments. While that in itself may not entirely be considered ‘picking sides’, he also liked Hockley’s apology to Chatfield. Hockley and Bien-Stephen were co-stars in The Challenge

Chatfield herself, however, has slammed Hockley’s apology, claiming it shirks responsibility and blames the ‘live’ nature of radio. In latest developments, Chatfield also claimed that Hockley’s on-air comments were not the first time the latter had slut shamed her.

Calling out Hockley’s apology in a series of IG Stories, Chatfield wrote: “This is also, in my experience on [Bachelor in Paradise], a repeated behaviour. I won’t say more but this whole thing hasn’t been shocking to me.”

Not everyone seems to be in Chatfield’s corner, however. Amidst the very public feud with Hockley, Chatfield also announced that she would be hosting the upcoming dating reality show FBOY Island Australia in 2023. Soon after the announcement, fellow The Bachelor contestants Megan Marx and Laura Bryne called Chatfield out.

Referring to Chatfield’s earlier comments about how she was ‘dismantling the patriarchy’ by calling Hockley out, Marx pointed out that her involvement in the show seemed hypocritical at best.

“All this ‘work’ being done to dismantle internalised misogyny within the media space — with incredibly high-horsed judgemental diatribe that includes the public humiliation of another woman (and all the others in the past)…” she wrote.

Marx went on to add: “Only to announce THE VERY NEXT DAY that they’re hosting f*ckboy island?! [sic]. A morally anaemic show where men get paid to lie to women? Wtf? This is too good.”
