In some of the most satisfying news today, we can confirm that Adam Sandler not only knows about that iHop TikTok video. He’s actually responded to it. What a guy.

Last week the video featuring Adam Sandler went viral on TikTok, where he was supposedly recorded being rejected from an IHOP restaurant.

The footage features Adam Sandler who is seen wearing a face mask, rocking up to the restaurant. While it can’t be heard what he asked, naturally it seems like he’s asking to be seated. He is then seen leaving the premises accordingly, after receiving the response.

Since that day, the footage has since made its way onto TikTok by the IHOP employee who rejected Sandler, after apparently innocently not having recognised or realised that it was the ‘Billy Madison’ icon. She captioned the video, “Not realizing it’s Adam Sandler and telling him its a 30min wait and him ofc leaving bc hes not going to wait 30mins for IHOP.”

Right now the video boasts a huge 2.3 million likes, so it’s no surprise that it eventually and finally fell under the nose of Sandler. And now, let’s get to his iconic response.

In response to the video, he took to Twitter In the interest of setting the record straight, he said, “For the record, I only left the IHOP because the nice woman told me the all-you-can-eat deal didn’t apply to the milkshakes.”

Reminding ourselves that he is both a comedian by trade and also evidently just day-to-day, it’s pretty hard to tell whether or not he’s just taking the piss. Or iHop actually didn’t have all-you-can-eat milkshakes. Because if the latter actually is true, you know what, that’s totally fair enough.

Either way, the response is gold and we love it. For more on this topic, follow the Film & TV Observer.
