Air NZ are hosting a bonkers sale right now

Air NZ are combatting the decline in travelling brought on by the coronavirus outbreak by hosting the meanest sale known to mankind. If you book before March 2nd, you can get your filthy hands on a flight across the Tasman for cheap as chips.

There are too many deals to list and I’m extremely lazy but if you fancy a break in Windy Wellington it’ll cost you $189 each way, whilst Auckland getaways are going for $130 each way. The airline is also knocking $250 off return flights to Queenstown. New Zealand in Autumn is heaven-sent, so don’t dilly dally around. You can investigate for yourself here.

“Customers are going to get some ridiculously good deals on flights across the Tasman,” shares Air New Zealand chief revenue officer Cam Wallace.

“Like all airlines we have seen some softness in demand on routes like the Tasman where we now have some empty seats due to travellers mainly from Asian destinations not connecting between New Zealand and Australia.”

Earlier this week it was revealed that Air New Zealand — the airline of the working class — are developing beds to be used for us economy beggars. The Economy Skynest is currently in its prototype stage, but the airline are hoping that they will end up entering the commercial market.

Skynest will consist of six two-metre beds. The beds borrow from pod hotel design and include a full-size pillow, sheets, blankets, earplugs and a privacy curtain. This is fantastic news for people like me, who are too afraid to fall asleep on airplanes because I’m painfully aware that I sleep like an absolute fuckwit with my gob open and am terrified of ending up on some meme page.
