The art world can be intimidating; an immense and often confusing scene of endless layers. Art Now, curated by Tessa Dorman, has boiled it all down to just that: the ‘art’ and the ‘now’.
The exhibit takes a snapshot of thecurrent state of contemporary art in Sydney, providinga showcase of all that is wonderful, emerging, real, edgy and fabulous about art at the current moment. The works of 18 artists describe the contradictions and the trends that are prevalent in the cultural orbit of our city.
Art Now will be showing at NG Art Gallery in Chippendale from Tuesday June 17 until Saturday July 5.
