Two of The White Lotus’s leading ladies, Aubrey Plaza and Meghann Fahy, got high on mushrooms and roamed around Italy during their down time while filming the hit TV show.

Fahy initially spoke about their adventure during an appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers, however, she chose to leave to omit the part of the story where the two actresses munched down some magic mushrooms.

She told Meyers that her and Plaza were exploring Italy when they came across a bunch of bikers who tried to talk to them.

“It was a very Daphne/Harper moment,” Fahy told Seth Meyers, “They were like ‘Hey, girls!,’ and she (Plaza) was like ‘Don’t look at me!’ And I was like, ‘Hiiiii!!’

Plaza cleared up the story during her own appearance on the show, saying that the reason she wasn’t welcoming to the bikers was because she was “tripping balls”.

“Yeah, I saw her on your show because I watch your show and she left out the most important part, which is that we were on mushrooms,” Plaza said.

“I was tripping balls, balls.

“I was tripping. It was terrifying,” Plaza told Meyers earlier this week. “We were lost on a highway and there were Italian men going ‘Vroom, vroom,’ like coming at me. I thought they were taking me to the dark side. Like, I was going to transfer over.”

Plaza played uptight lawyer Harper and Fahy plays chirpy and charming millionaire Daphne on White Lotus. The two women head to Sicily on a holiday together with their husbands who are college friends.

Plaza has been nominated for a Golden Globe for her role in the show, and the women’s colleague Jennifer Coolidge who plays Tanya was also nominated.

While The White Lotus was nominated, Fahy missed out on an individual nomination, and the omission caused a lot of backlashes online, with thousands of social media users claiming that she was “robbed”.
