The latest reality TV show to hit our screens is MTV’s Ex on the Beach: Couples, and it will star The Amazing Race Australia’s Jake O’Brien and Holly MacAlpine

The show premiered last week and is a spin-off of the UK series, sees six couples ready to get engaged – but there’s a twist. The twist is that each couple has issues with an ex, and the show will see them undertake a series of challenges hosted by Kamie Crawford from Are You The One.

While the majority of the cast is American, popular Australian reality TV couple Jake O’Brien and Holly MacAlpine have joined the show. They’re no strangers to the reality TV game, having appeared on The Amazing Race Australia, and they’re ready to bring the heat to Ex on the Beach Couples.

While they’re excited to be part of the show, they’re also feeling a little nervous. After all, they’ll be sharing close quarters with their exes, which could get a little awkward. But they’re up for the challenge and ready to find love on the island.

“I would say we’ve been through a lot and I feel like in the past four years, we really haven’t had a chance to just step back and focus on the relationship,” Holly told Yahoo Lifestyle Australia. “And I personally cannot think of any other environment that is quite like this that really just removes all television, phones, and any capacity to distract yourself.

“We’re in a really great place and this for us was just a way of taking that next step into some more serious decisions about our future and what we want our relationship to look like.”

The couple is known for their fiery personalities and drama-filled relationships, and they’re sure to bring the drama to Ex on the Beach Couples. They’ve joined a cast of other singles, including Spari and Shyla, Sorinn and Lola and Liam and Layla who are all looking for love on the show.
