Laura Byrne is best known for taking home Matty J’s final rose on the 2017 season of the Bachelor. The couple has stayed together ever since, got engaged and had two children together.

Last week, Byrne dropped somewhat of a bombshell, revealing that she used to hook up with a former The Bachelorette star before she met Matty J.

Laura went into detail about the fling on her Life Uncut podcast, revealing that she and the former contestant would “have some great sex”.

“The best friends with benefits that I ever had is a guy who I dated many years ago,” she told co-host Brittany Hockley. “I dated a guy who was on The Bachelorette.”

“I used to call him my “Wednesday night guy”. It was never a weekend relationship,” she added.

“It was never good enough to be a Friday night or a Saturday night. We both just knew, on a Wednesday, we’d go and get sushi, we’d have some great sex, we’d have a great time, I’d have a sleepover, I’d get up in the morning and I’d go to work.”

Laura revealed that she and The Bachelorette star continued their tryst for about six months, but she wouldn’t disclose his name.
