Whether you like it or not, the reality is that social media plays a major part in many people’s day-to-day life. So, it’s not exactly surprising that some people take into account what the most picture-perfect destinations are when considering where to go on their honeymoon.

British travel website Kuoni has collated trending honeymoon spots according to how many TikTok hashtags are shared – and popped them into a list. Australia’s neighbouring island of Bali was among the most popular choices, ranking third. The Indonesian island was beaten out by Italy, which came in second place, and the Maldives which came first.

“Bali is a popular post wedding destination for many couples, where they’re able to experience a whole range of landscapes from vibrant forests to breath-taking beaches,” the publication shared.

When it comes to honeymooning in Bali, newlyweds are spoilt for choice. Ubud has hundreds of beautiful villas, with many boasting unbelievable views of the jungle and traditional architecture. Ocean lovers can head to Uluwatu for a clifftop stay and enjoy vast views of the Indian Ocean, and urban dwellers flock to Canggu for its world-class food, fashionable shops, great coffee and modern villas.

Tayla married AFL player Nathan Broad last month in a luxurious ceremony at Summergrove Estate in the NSW hinterlands that was featured in Vogue Magazine.

“For me, the venue was all about finding a place that represented both our upbringings. We both grew up spending lots of time in the ocean and Nathan also lived on big farm properties for most of his life. I chose Summergrove Estate because of the gorgeous countryside, and its amazing views of the ocean off in the distance. I loved the old barn they have on the property and instantly knew I wanted to fill it with fairy lights. I could see so much of Nathan and I in the venue and knew it was the perfect fit for us,” Tayla told Vogue of the wedding venue choice.
