Following in the footsteps of former Presidents such as Lena Dunham and Adam Sandler, President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle have signed a multi-year, multi-project deal with Netflix.

Netflix announced the dynamic duo (as they like to be called) will be developing a number of projects “potentially including scripted series, unscripted series, docu-series, documentaries, and features.”

Obama’s favourite show is The Wire, as he revealed during his presidency. Imagine him crafting a gritty, inner-city show. Or converting his excellent 1995 pre-Prez book Dreams From My Father into a ten-part series. The mind boggles. Or, maybe he’ll convert the board game Boggle into a… anyway, I digress.

“We hope to cultivate and curate the talented, inspiring, creative voices who are able to promote greater empathy and understanding between peoples, and help them share their stories with the entire world,” said Obama of the landmark deal.

Obviously, we will never find out how pay the Obamas deal is worth; ex-Presidents are quite good at keeping such deals tight.
