Riverside Theatre promises that the night will be a “celebration of women, human rights, laughter and resilience” when The Baulkham Hills African Ladies Troupe performs in February.
With the help of African performers, four women will take the stage to share remarkable stories of survival, from civil wars to refugee camps in Guinea. The production is directed by the acclaimed Ros Horin, and was developed in association with the NSW Service for the Treatment of Rehabilitation of Torture and Trauma Survivors.
In 2013, the production was awarded Best Project at the Refugee Council of Australia’s Humanitarian Awards.
The Baulkham Hills African Ladies Troupe is performing at the Riverside Theatres from Wednesday February 18 until Saturday February 21. Tickets start at $23 and are available from riversideparramatta.com.au
