Ice cream makers and general happiness providers Ben & Jerry’s will release a new limited edition flavour tomorrow to coincide with the global Rise For Climate day. The flavour titled “Gimme S’more Renewables” will be available in scoop shops around the country from tomorrow.

The new flavour sounds delicious as well as environmentally conscious, boasting a combination of marshmallow ice cream, chocolate cookies, Graham cracker swirls and fudge flakes. All proceeds from the new flavour will be donated to their climate activism partners 350.org. Concrete Playground reports that they have also sent personalised pints of the product to politicians across Australia.

Ben & Jerry’s plan to only use renewable energy resources by 2030, and have a deadline set for 2020 to stop using coal as part of their energy sources. Currently their shops are all running on 100% carbon neutral energy.

This is not the first time the tasty treat makers have used their brand to support great causes. Last year they celebrated Australia passing marriage equality by giving out free ice cream. Of course they also just give away free ice cream on a particular day each year as well which is nice.

Before you head out tomorrow to grab yourself a pint of the exciting flavour, check out where the nearest rally for Rise For Climate day is to you and head along. You can find where they are here, and check out Ben & Jerry’s video on Marriage Equality in Australia below.
