Thousands of Aussies were left with a huge gap in their weeknight schedules after season nine of MAFS aired its finale episode on Monday.

So, in the spirit of keeping MAFS season nine fans entertained, we thought we’d pop together a list of some other addictive reality TV shows for MAFS to tune in to.

Whether you tune in to reality TV to watch love blossom – or you’re there for the drama – we’ve got you covered.

Below Deck Down Under

The Below Deck franchise has spawned a lot of spin-offs – and the latest is set here in our own backyard. Below Deck Australian follows fan favorite stew Aesha Scott and eight other cast members as they sail around Queensland on a luxury yacht full of insanely rich guests.

Once you’re down with Below Deck Down Under you can continue your binging with the show’s other offers; the OG Below Deck, Below Deck Med and Below Deck Sailing.

MAFS UK (Married at First Sight UK)

If you’re addicted to the format of MAFS Australia – and looking for a new cast with new drama, then you can’t go past MAFS UK. Fortunately, the reality show has just started airing on Australian TV, too.

MAFS UK actually has a familiar face on the expert panel, too. The relationship guru has joined the British team to help the participants navigate their problems during their fake marriages. If you’re not a fan of the previous season of MAFS UK, you should still give the new season a try, it’s changed up its format to mimic the energetic Australian one (AKA more drama, and more fights!).

Big Brother Back To The Future

The best reality TV shows to watch now that MAFS is over

Big Brother Australia has just released the cast list for this year’s season and boy, does it look to be a doozy.

The official name for the season is Big Brother Back To The Future, it certainly does look to be an all-star cast. From lovebirds, Tully Smyth to fan favourite Anthony Drew and Reggie Bird to Tim Dormer, most names listed on the ballot will be familiar to fans of previous Big Brother seasons.

However, there’s a twist. Housemates from previous seasons will actually compete again with some brand new faces.

Channel 7 haven’t shared a release date yet, but the show is expected that the season will premiere after the latest season of Big Brother VIP finishes.

The Ultimatum: Marry or Move on

If a smattering of love mixed with a heavy dose of drama is your vibe when it comes to reality shows, then you’ll probably be excited about Netflix’s brand new offering, The Ultimatum: Marry or Move on. The concept is absolutely ridiculous, which is usually a great thing for reality shows.

In the series six couples who have been together for a substantial amount of time come together. Each of the couples has one partner who has an ultimatum for the other. Spoiler alert: every couple has one person wanting to get married, and the other who doesn’t.

The couples are considered technically single mingle and found a new partner to live with amongst the bunch. Once they’ve selected their partner, they’ll move in with them for three weeks. Then, they’ll move back in with their partner for three weeks. At the end, the participant who was given the ultimatum will decide whether to accept it, move on with their new partner, or leave single.

The Bachelorette AmericaWatch Gabby and Rachel on the Bachelorette if you've finished with MAFS Australia

The hugely successful American franchise of The Bachelorette has taken a page out of our book, casting their first double lead for The Bachelorette.

Australia debuted this format back in 2019, when they cast sisters Elly and Becky to both be bachelorettes, and to undertake their “journey” to find their dream man together.

The new America Bachelorette duo are the immensely likeable Gabby Windey and Rachel Recchia, who both came runner’s up in the last season of The Bachelor when Clayton picked Susie.

While the women were already extremely likeable personalities in their season of the Bachelor, their popularity was only boosted after the hot mess of a season that was Claytons. Former Bachelor Clayton told the two women that he loved them, as well as his final rose, Susie. After Susie left he led Rachel and Gabby on before deciding to beg Susie back.

The dual season of The Bachelorette America is set to air in July.
