It turns out several contestants on Big Brother Australia 2022 were very outspoken against the COVID-19 vaccine

Returning housemate Estelle Landy was a very outspoken anti-vaxxer, according to So Dramatic!, regularly posting angrily about lockdowns and Dan Andrews. The reality TV star had repeated arguments online with pro-vaccine author Clementine Ford, once insisting that “we haven’t had a single child death with Covid.”

And she wasn’t the only housemate to get irate about COVID vaccines. According to one of her longtime followers on social media, Layla Subritzky posted “anti-mandate rhetoric during lockdowns.” The source said this led many people to unfollow her during lockdown as a result of her posts.

Sam Manovski also allegedly dismissed the mandates on Instagram. “On her page, she had allegedly been vocal about the vaccine during the COVID lockdown and had expressed that she stands against the vaccine,” a So Dramatic! source claimed. “She wrote on her Story that she could never be with someone that got the vax… then flipped when Big Brother offered some fame.”

BB filming took place during October and November in Sydney last year, with the city still in lockdown at the time. Restrictions for fully-vaccinated NSW residents didn’t ease until November 8th, with unvaccinated people restricted heavily until December 15th. That means it would have been extremely difficult for the anti-vaxxers to enter the BB house without being vaccinated.

The BB finale took place last night, with Reggie Sorensen seeing off Johnson Ash and Taras Hrubyj-Piper to win. It was a historic triumph, with Reggie becoming the first person to win the show twice. Reggie first won the show back in 2003 when she beat Chrissie Swan to win the third season.
