The premiere of Big Brother Back to the Future only aired last night, but it’s been speculated that the winner of the series has already been leaked.

Popular gambling site Sportsbet has pinned one contestant as the most likely to take out the BB crown this season. Sportsbet posts commonly create categories for popular Australian reality shows, and let people place best about who they think will win. In the past, the contestants who have better odds have often ended up winning the show. Many people have speculated that this is related to insider trading and that punters who have confirmed information about who wins the show, place their bets early.

Just one example of a similar situation like this dates back as recent as last year’s season of the Bachelorette. Even before Brooke Blurton’s season of the reality TV show began, Sportsbet had Brisbane based David Garayeli as the frontrunner to win the final rose. Although Blurton tried to throw speculators off the scent during interviews where she dismissed the theory. However, viewers of the show will know Garayeli did end up winning the season.

Based on Sportsbet’s impressive track record when it comes to revealing Australian reality TV show winners, signs point to Reggie Bird becoming the first two time winner of Australian Big Brother.

The self-proclaimed ‘Aussie larrikin’ has odds of $2 to win the series. That means if a punter places a $1.00 bet, and Bird wins the season, they’ll receive $2.00 back.

Bird won the show back in 2003, and even popular housemate and return participant Tim Dormer proclaimed her the ‘queen of Big Brother’ on last night’s premiere of Big Brother Back to the Future.

During last night’s episode of BB, viewers were introduced to four returning housemates and 11 new housemates, who moved into together to battle each other to become the last man (or woman) standing. Reports have confirmed that four more additional former housemates will join the current house.

However, despite confirmation that eight of the most popular housemates from former seasons will be competing in the series, Sportsbet has three new housemates tipped to make it to the final four alongside Bird.

Taras Hrubyj Piper currently has odds of $3.00, putting him into an expected second place. While Aleisha Campbell and Johnson Ashak both have bettering odds of $5.00 each.

While the past has suggested that low dollar values are linked to a high chance that the participant will win, it’s important to note that insider trading is strictly banned on the platform and the connection could be purely coincidental.
