Billy Talent, one the biggest Canadian rock outfits of the last two decades, are coming to Australia for a limited run of shows across the country.

The Canadian five-piece are gearing up for the release of their fifth studio album,Afraid of Heights,in July 2016. Billy Talent first started slinging their pop-rock-punk-and-rockabilly hybrid in 1993. They took a punt by putting such a declarative adjective in their band name, and many sceptics have been eager to cut them down over the years. But lovers of loud guitars, tight black t-shirts and a boiling kettle’s worth of hot licks have recurrently ratified the band’s bold designation.

Billy Talent will take over The Metro Theatreon Saturday August 13.
