Bindi Irwin has been keeping fans updated regularly on her pregnancy journey alongside husband Chandler Powell, and today the pair revealed today that they’re expecting a baby girl.
Posting to Instagram, the 22-year-old daughter of the beloved late Croc Hunter Steve Irwin announced the exciting news by sharing an adorable snap of herself, Chandler and an Aldabra tortoise as they showed off a sonogram image.
Bindi accompanied the image with a sweet message to her daughter to be, saying: “Baby girl, you are our world. Our beautiful daughter is now about the same size as a hatchling Aldabra tortoise and is as healthy as can be. We can’t wait for her arrival next year.”
Robert Irwin, the younger brother of Bindi, also shared his excitement over the newlyweds’ impending arrival, commenting: “I can’t wait to meet my niece!”
Chandler, 23, also posted about their upcoming bundle of joy, saying: “Our little girl and my beautiful wife are my entire world. I’m so excited to meet our daughter when she’s born next year and to see the incredible person she will grow up to be.”
Wildlife Warrior Bindi first told fans she and her husband, whom she married at Australia Zoo in March, were expecting in an Instagram post last month that read:
“Chandler and I are proud to announce that we’re expecting! It’s an honour to share this special moment in our lives with you. Though I’m still in my first trimester, we really want you to be part of our journey from the beginning of this new life chapter. We couldn’t wait to share the news as this beautiful little being has become the most important part of our lives.
“Your support means the world to us. Please let me know your best advice and send good vibes & prayers to our little sweetheart. Love & light,” she wrote.
