Bindi Irwin, daughter of the beloved Steve Irwin, has shared a touching wedding gift of a painting that depicted her wedding day reimagined with her late dad by her side.

Bindi Irwin married her longtime love, Chandler Powell, in a small ceremony at Australia Zoo back in March, with the 22-year-old sharing the special event with the world in a televised special called Crikey! It’s The Irwins: Bindi’s Wedding.

While little brother Robert recently teared up while discussing his big sister’s nuptials, Bindi had us again reaching for the tissues when she posted the sweet image showing a smiling Steve Irwin on his daughter’s big day.

“‘To live in hearts we leave behind is not to die.’ ― Thomas Campbell,” Bindi captioned the photo of herself, her husband, her mother Terri, and her brother Robert posed with the touching painting gifted to Bindi from a fan, visual artist Debb Oliver. “Thank you @the_monkey_brush for creating this spectacular piece.”

According to Access Online, Bindi received a physical copy of the image after seeing it on Oliver’s Instagram in July. “My family. Our wedding day,” wrote Bindi in another post. “This artwork gave me happy tears. Thank you to ‘The Monkey Brush’ for creating such a beautiful piece, it means the world to me,” Bindi added.

Oliver recently posted about meeting the Irwins, explaining how excited she was to see the photos of Bindi’s wedding. “And when I finally saw them, they looked amazing,” she said. “Everything was perfect, but of course, we all wished Steve could have been there to walk his little girl down the aisle.”

It comes after Bindi celebrated the anniversary of the day her American husband proposed, writing in an Instagram post: “Just over a year ago @chandlerpowell proposed. Now I get to call this incredible man my husband. Here’s to a lifetime of adventure together. My sunshine, I love you with all my heart.”

Fans were quick to send their well wishes to the wildlife warrior, with one writing: “Happy 1st Proposal Anniversary! Steve would be proud! May God bless you both on a long and happy marriage!” another posted.

Chandler himself even replied to his wife’s post, writing: “I love you more than anything.”

We reckon Steve would be so proud of his little girl!
