One of The Bachelor leads is reportedly set to reveal that he is bisexual to his final women.

According to Daily Mail Australia, Jed McIntosh will surprise his final few women with the newss and was encouraged not to tell them earlier.

“Jed was approached soon after [producers] put out a casting call looking for men who weren’t 100 per cent straight, and he was perfect for it,” a source told the publication.

They added, “They’re hoping for [his bisexuality] to be one of the big twists of the season, so the contestants have been warned to keep quiet about it.”

The same source told Daily Mail Australia that the new season – which will feature three leads – has “taken a lot of inspiration from Married At First Sight”, which has been hugely successful in recent seasons.

‘There will be three engagements at the end, similar to how MAFS do their commitment ceremonies. They will take place at a wedding-style venue rather than somewhere picturesque like they’ve done in the past,’ the source said.

Jed was reportedly approached to appear on Brooke Blurton’s season of The Bachelorette, which was the first bi-sexual season from any iteration of the franchise.

However, Jed turned down the opportunity and told producers that he would also take part in the show if he was the lead.

Jed basically responded to them and said no I don’t want to be a contestant, I want to be The Bachelor instead. He didn’t think this would ever happen, but months later he got a call saying bosses would love to meet him and his request actually happened,” a source said.

They added, “He held out because he knew if he appeared on Brooke’s season he could be out in the first episode and would gain no public profile.”
