A new behind-the-scenes photo leaked from ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ set shows underwater Namor/Atlanteans scene.

The excitement for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is instantly rushing back with a new set leak showing what appears to be an underwater scene featuring Namor’s Atlanteans. While the lead role of the movie is certainly under question with the passing of the late Chadwick Boseman, this leak has fans theorizing what direction the movie might take that would be both respectful to Boseman and also make sense within the story and the greater Marvel Cinematic Universe as a whole.

In the leaked image there is a dark room with a single light source coming down from above, multiple people are floating in the waters below who appear to be both film crew and cast. The comments below the post have fans discussing theories and possible comic book threads Ryan Coogler and the Black Panther crew could possibly pull from.

This fan is taking a note from the introduction of variants by Marvel’s Loki series and thinks that T’Challa may make his return in the form of a variant but fails to explain what would become of the current T’Challa that exists within the MCU.

Another fan theorizes that the introduction of Namor may be part of a larger overarching theory of the introduction of mutants into the MCU, as the character is technically the first mutant to be published in Marvel Comics.
